Welcome to Vision Source Mesquite, home to one of the largest eyewear selections in North Texas. Our experienced vision experts, led by Dr. Rodney L. Robertson and Dr. Terri L. White, provide comprehensive eye care services including vision exams, prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses, sunglasses, dry eye treatment, red eye treatment, pink eye (conjunctivitis) treatment, Keratoconus treatment, glaucoma treatment, diabetic eye care, co-management of cataracts, LASIK and many other eye surgeries. We also offer eyeglass repair, corneal molding for reducing or eliminating myopia (near-sightedness) and astigmatism (irregular eye surface), and retinal imaging services. Our one-on-one approach to optometry make Dr. Robertson and the Vision Source team the eye care providers of choice for Mesquite. With flexible office hours, including Saturday appointments, our optometrists are ready to serve you!
From designer frames and hard to fit contacts to specialized eye surgeries and eye disease treatment, Dr. Robertson and Dr. White are committed to enhancing and protecting your vision. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, Dr. Robertson and Dr. White recommend an annual exam to ensure you have the correct prescription. Even if you do not wear glasses or contacts, you will still benefit from regular eye exams. This is especially important for older adults who are at increased risk for the development of chronic degenerative eye diseases, including, diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts. Since these serious eye diseases do not have early warning symptoms, and early diagnosis and treatment can prevent blindness, the only way to diagnose these diseases is through a comprehensive eye exam.
As a leading provider of North Texas eyewear, Vision Source Mesquite is committed to providing our patients with the widest possible selection for designer eye wear. Our on-site laboratory makes it easy to quickly customize the perfect pair of glasses for your vision needs. Our comprehensive eye exams include standard vision tests for prescription eyeglasses and contacts, as well as exams for hard-to-fit contacts. If you have been told that your eyes are “hard to fit”, you may still be able to wear contact lenses – you just need an eye care professional like Dr. Robertson who has the experience in examining and fitting these lenses! For example, if you have been diagnosed with astigmatism, you may benefit from a specially shaped toric lens, which is designed to offset your eye’s surface irregularities for clearer vision.
Dr. Robertson, Dr. White and our eye care team are fully experienced in dry eye treatment and red eye treatment. Dry eye syndrome is caused by a chronic lack of sufficient lubrication. For some patients, dry eyes are linked to allergies; for other patients, dry eyes may become a chronic condition that causes year-round discomfort. Dry eyes are very common; in fact, nearly half of all adults aged 18 or older suffer from dry eyes. Dry eye symptoms include a burning sensation, itching sensation, sore eyes, red eyes and blurred vision; even chronic tearing. If you are experiencing dry eyes, Dr. Robertson will evaluate your symptoms and determine the most effective treatment option for resolving this discomfort.
